About Me

Hi there, My name is Annie, but I like to go by Animo in Spanish.

Not the location in Mexico I will be going to, just a pretty picture of Austin, TX!

I am 22 years old (almost 23) and have known Jesus since I was young, but was not personally discipled until I was 20. I understood that Christ had died for my sins, and how repentance was, I had a sweet relationship with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, but the enemy always wants to steal, kill and destroy and he fully intended to try and distort that for me. Although I grew up in the church and in a loving christian home, I suffered from depression and anxiety. I believed the lies that the enemy was telling me and I walked in those lies until the Lord started to reveal to me the truth through the power of His word. In the process of learning to continually walk in repentance each day and cast my cares, worries and fears on the cross, the Lord has taken me out of depression and anxiety, by His grace.

I went on a short-term mission to Spain in 2015 and it wasn’t until January of 2018, that I was called to start my journey of being a full-time missionary. I attended Discipleship Training School in YWAM Mazatlán, Mexico for 5 months and then an in depth, 6 month hermeneutical bible school at the same training facility in August of that same year. Since becoming a full-time missionary, my relationship with the Lord has deepened and my conviction to follow Him, to study His word and let ministry be the outpouring of my relationship with Him, instead of letting ministry be the only place where I had a relationship with Him. Since then I have found myself in children’s ministries where I have shared Jesus with kids in Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Peru, and my hometown in the United States. I have taught in Rehabilitation Centers, Churches and communities in Mexico the foundations of the Bible and how to have a relationship with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I have found myself up late at night praying for friends to run to Jesus and I have found myself photographing as a form of service to ministries and organizations.

What is my calling?

To know God of the Bible personally and to make Him known through the sharing of His word and the testimony of Jesus Christ dying for our sins and rising on the third day conquering death. I will trust Him to guide me into whatever parts of the world, and whichever type of ministry He wants to use me in. My calling is to be obedient to Him, and to share who He is and how He has saved me.

What’s up with all the pictures?

I love photography, it is my hobby. I love the art of capturing a moment in time that God has so graciously given me the opportunity to witness. I love going on adventures with Him to find new places, I love serving Him by documenting different ministries and I even like photographing weddings. It is where I can be creative with the Lord and it is a form of how I am able to share the Gospel and what He is doing in the world. Overall, I think it’s fun taking pictures and editing them!

What am I up to?
