COUPLE - LANDON AND BRENDA FT. JILLIAN ZAMORA PHOTOGRAPHY

If you are reading this, I have been working on this blog post for the past 6 months. No, its not because I didn't want to blog this session, it was the life stage I was in, and my mentor session with Jillian was one of the many key reasons as to just how much my life has changed over the course of half a year. That, my friends, is one of the things I want to share with you today, how Jillian of Jillian Zamora Photography helped change my game plan when it came to photography.

Jillian is one of the sweetest and kindest people I have ever met. She is very driven, yet attentive when she has to be. Our day started out at West Oak Coffee Bar on Denton Square in Denton, TX. There she shared her story of how she became a full-time wedding photographer, her tips and tricks on running a business, and we even discussed my rebranding. Boy howdy, did talking about rebranding help a lot. We went over how to make my website more clean-cut and easy to follow as well as how to structure my about me page so you all would be able to get to know the real me. the die-hard Jesus freak me who loves to photograph stories the way God has designed it for me. We then drove to our location a bit early to scout out the site and test lighting. She showed me how she looks at things, how to search for the highlights in the shadows, and how to go beyond what I am comfortable with lighting-wise. When Landon and Brenda arrived, it was one of the happiest occasions. Jillian not only made learning fun, but she made photographing couples more fun than I could imagine. The session was full of love, laughter, and of course Birthday wishes to Brenda, as it was her birthday the day of the session. Jillian and I concluded our session with food, editing tips, and tricks, and more, and finally, we prayed together, for each other, for our businesses, and for God to take us where He wants us to go, and that prayer was the start of something big.

And that, my friends, is one of the many ways God has used Jillian to help impact my life. That, and the fact that God used her blog to help get me to be a missionary in Spain, but that is another story.
