Dallas Garden Wedding - Stefan and Jayme
Dallas Wedding Photographer Photo Archives
Today is the first day of going through and blogging the photography archives.
There is something about going back to your roots, you know? Looking back at how far you have come, seeing how what you did back then affects how you approach today.
Back in November 2017, I met up with Matt Allen to photograph this wedding, starting at the Belmont Hotel in West of Downtown Dallas, and ending in Jayme’s family home. I was HUNGRY for more weddings, yet two short months later, I was signed up to leave the States and embark on my missionary journey in Mexico. So, I didn’t share it on social media until I was back home in 2020, maybe even in 2021.
Looking back, all I can think of is how Jayme and Stefan wrote the perfect story for us to capture.
The couple:
Jayme, a Dallas Florist, a real-life Disney princess, is someone so kind and loving that you could only just sit back in awe of how such a kind heart exists.
Stefan, a man of integrity, the prince charming to Jayme’s princess, gentle in spirit, a man who found a good thing.
The two were brought together in holy matrimony. The first day of the rest of their lives is written, captured, and preserved for future generations.
I would tell you more, but their story is theirs to tell, not mine. I captured it in all its glory while they led the way. You are the viewer, you’ll see what I mean.

Cocktail hour and portraits
Pro tip: If you want to take part in your cocktail hour, do a first look and tell your photog its happening!
The reception began in blue hour light
Pro tip: If you need a break from all the hustle and bustle, take one. Use your wedding photographer as a buffer and sneak away.
And when you come back, you can dance away.
Fairy Light’s make for the best party dancing photos.
I’ll leave you with this - 7 years later, I am still HUNGRY to capture more stories. Not in the traditional way, the pretty posed portraits have their time and place in my work, but I desperately want to hear your story, sink my teeth into it, and capture it on camera. You’ve already done the writing, let’s put pen to paper - together.
Con Amor,

P.S. I am taking a blogging class with Bigmouth Copy this summer, and I cannot wait to share more blogs that make you feel, connect, that help tell the story you have written.
Bye-bye to the days when absolutely no blog post was posted within a year. That’s changing. Think of this as a wedding magazine to look forward to reading, a newspaper that you didn’t know you needed, a snail mail letter from the stagecoach with illustrations and stories from your dearest sister/ best friend - that’s what I’m going for.
